Overview
Born and raised on the coast of Maine, I took my first jewelry making class while still in high school. For twenty-five years, I was the owner and head designer of my own jewelry business in Rhode Island, exhibited in multiple wholesale and retail shows each year, founded The Providence Craft Show (which was acquired by Fine Furnishings Show), taught many classes and served on several craft-related juries and boards. Six years ago, I moved my home and business back to Maine, where I discovered a new passion – painting with encaustics. These days, I divide my time between the jewelry studio and the painting studio. A life-long minimalist, my work reflects a deep respect for artists like Agnes Martin, Mark Rothko, Ellsworth Kelly and the Bauhaus school.
