From the rocky coastline of Maine, I search for uniquely formed pebbles, shell bits and sea glass to create Pebble Art. My most popular are the Pebble Families, Bride & Groom and Pebble Pets, all featuring a heart-shaped moon. Each is finished in a wood box frame.

Glass Paradox
Posted by Amy Kristiansen & filed under .
Glass Paradox artware is hand-painted in rural Maine. Starting with blank stemware that is selected for it’s functionality and ability to withstand the painting and curing process, Amy hand-paints her own designs on each piece. Once painted, the glass needs to set for 24 hours before it is heat cured, bonding the design to it’s glass canvas. No two pieces are exactly alike though a set of any design will compliment each other with minimal variation. The finished artware is hand-washable and able to be used daily with proper care.
Inspired by everything and anything, designs range from abstract and contemporary more traditional, all colorful and fun.

Acorn Arts Studio, LLC, was founded in July of 2012, by Barbara Farrell, the sole owner and artist. Originally, many different artistic endeavors were showcased, but as time went on, she focused on stained glass and pottery. Pottery was phased out during COVID, when Barbara started watercolor painting. Although she doesn’t sell her watercolors, she has started teaching classes through Maine Micro Artisans, LLC, in their Gorham classroom/Co-op.
The stained glass items made by Acorn Arts Studio, LLC, are imagined, designed and handcrafted by Barbara in her home studio, located in Gorham, Maine. Glass items include privacy windows, sun catchers, panels, night lights, business card holders, wind chimes, frames and more. Be part of the process by inquiring about custom orders!
A&E Stoneworks
Posted by Alana (& Evan) Hutchins & filed under .
A&E Stoneworks is located in the home studio of Alana and Evan Hutchins in Swanville, Maine. They specialize in unique and functional housewares made from Maine slate, granite and beachstones. They are best known for their Slate State Cheeseboards. In 2012 after turning a rock shaped like a loaf of bread into coasters they knew they were on the track to something very special. It wasn’t until Evan free hand cut (meaning no lasers, water jets or computers) the state of Maine out of a piece of slate that everything clicked and the Slate State Cheeseboard was born. Since then they have expanded their product lines and offer a wide variety of products including state coasters, ornaments and a unique line of beach stone utensils.
